Marmo was a great experience! The live pianist provided great music throughout our reservation that was enjoyable to listen to.
Andre gave us fast and friendly service. We ordered pasta and steak with a couple of sides, and they were exceptional. The food was seasoned well and presented wonderfully, served hot. Mark checked in on us throughout the meal as well, which was a nice follow up.
This North East chain restaurant was a terrific experience. We cannot wait to try some of their other locations in Baltimore!

I feel like any restaurant in the Montrose collective has a nice ambience to it. Service was really great, food was hit or miss. Really enjoyed the meatballs actually, but pasta and calamari fell a little short. Tiramisu was fantastic. 4 stars overall, 3 for food. Take it as you will.

My wife and I had wanted to come here for quite some time. The one hiccup for the evening was we were seated in a large empty section and the wait staff weren’t sure who our waiter was so it took a while to get any service. We had to waive down a waiter who immediately started to take our order before our actual waiter showed up.

Our actual waiter was great. He was perfectly attentive, never having empty glasses or waiting long times for our meals. More importantly our young daughter’s meal came out quickly!

I had the chicken Parmesan and the broccolini, pictured. The chicken was juicy with a crispy crust. The sauce had a great flavor.

Asa , the manager, came and checked on us and made sure we were well taken care of. He had some great food recommendations and we have already booked another visit for a date night to Marmo because of this experience.

Food was outstanding - best Italian food I’ve had in Texas. We had the tuna carpaccio and roasted carrots for the appetizer - both were loaded with flavor and super unique. We then had the bolognese pasta and vodka sauce pasta accompanied by broccolini for our entrees. The pasta was perfectly al dente and sauce on both dishes was fantastic - true classic dishes done perfectly. Service was also fantastic - shoutout to Jose! We will be back!

Shocked and disappointed can’t even begin to describe how I’m feeling after spending 200+ dollars on a dinner. I made a reservation beforehand and noted that it was my boyfriend’s 24th birthday that we were celebrating. The hostess was lovely and congratulated us on our special celebration. After that everything went downhill. When we arrived and the whole dining experience, there were barely any other people in the restaurant being served. so my question is how does the server forget to place the order on the one appetizer he repeated back to us? He did not come to check on us or cater to us. Our drinks were empty and since we were celebrating, we would’ve ordered more drinks. When he took our order in the beginning, he did not go about asking how my boyfriend wanted his steak cooked. Had to look around to find a server assistant to help us get the sauce for the steak, for us to be able to order more drinks and order another side since the steak was not enough. The cocktails were delicious and made to perfection. The restaurant was clean and beautifully designed. Music was perfect for the evening. I would have expected the service to be at a much higher level than to find myself being disappointed. This will be our first and our last time coming here.

Marmo offers a great dining experience. The atmosphere is stylish and welcoming, ideal for a night out. The service was attentive and knowledgeable, which made a big difference. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, and the steak was cooked just right—tender and full of rich taste.

The desserts were a nice way to end the meal, with a good variety of options that didn’t disappoint. Each dish was well-prepared and thoughtfully presented, showing a real attention to detail. If you’re looking for a quality spot in Houston, Marmo is worth visiting. We’ll likely return, as it’s a place that leaves a lasting impression without trying too hard.

[November 2024 Update: second visit was even better than the first! Delicious pasta and wonderful, charming service from Valerie. 🙂 Olive oil cake is definitely anong the best desserts I've ever had. Yummy!] Believe all of those hundreds of great reviews because they're true! Marmo the Italian Chophouse is serving truly delicious food in a beautiful space in the heart of Montrose. Everything from meatball appetizers to perfect prosciutto tortellini to decadent lemon olive oil cake was perfect. An exceptional wine and cocktail selection plus a wine room that's a cozy, well-stocked hideaway. This is a huge space that feels airy and peaceful and like it is extremely well managed. So many thoughtful touches. including a glass of zero-proof champagne for me and real for my husband (plus dessert) when they learned this was an anniversary dinner. Everyone from the hostess to our server to the bartender to the kitchen experts to the general manager (Amanda) was warm and friendly. We'll definitely be back!

Food for it being the price that it was was very mediocre. We ordered two different pasta dishes this one with the lobster was very bland the flavor of the pasta sauce could have been so much better tasted like something I could make at home, no additional cheese offerings to add on the top the lobster seemed overcooked, the second pasta we got was the vodka pasta dish and that one flavor wise was better however pasta was undercooked so it was a bit hard. Atmosphere is nice but the food was very average at best will likely not come back, tons of better Italian places in Houston with the fraction of the cost.
