Terrible customer service waited 20 minutes for no help to arrive. Asked for assistance at the service desk, asked for help from the flower department. No assistance ever arrived. Gladly there are other stores in the close vicinity. Was able to get what I need right across the street.

The man behind the deli was unprofessional and racist. He was talking out loud about how much he hates white women as he's cutting the meat for everyone to hear. He even went so far to explain out loud he hates white women because that's how he was raised by his mother. He kept repeating himself as if he wanted to make sure everyone heard him. It was September 17 2024 in the early evening. The whole situation was odd since the neighborhood is primarily white and the people in the store are primarily white. I myself am spanish but often mistaken for white. I make this clear because he kept saying this while he was looking at me, so I felt wrongfully subjected to his abusive behavior. It was as if he was announcing he hates the community and would like to be fired. I sure didn't appreciate it. Because the man couldn't stop verbally announcing his hatred towards the race of the community, he had to ask me 8 times my order. There was an older woman working with him at the time not saying a word, but not helping customers either. She was just standing there while this strange situation was going on. I been patronizing jewel osco for over 25 years throughout chicagoland. I never saw anything like this from employees. The management needs to step up and control their employees better. Customers should not be subjected to racism from an employee.

The Floral department at this store is the best floral department across all Jewel-Osco stores. I went here Saturday 10/15 to help my future father in-law get flowers for my future mother in-law as a surprise Sweetest Day gift. The manager Allison was very helpful. She professionally guided me to all types of ideas. The selection was incredible and I splurged for all the extra brownie points I could get. I ended up buying over $75 of 3 for $15's, an arrangement, and stock(decorative fall twisty twigs and brightly colored wheat!). I love coming to this store's Floral department for the past couple of years because you can tell this Manager CARES and KNOWS HOW TO DO IT RIGHT! I also bought some other things from grocery, a cold but over priced Sunkist and some cheese. Everyone here is great, I miss Tony, Jose is awesome. But I always come for the flowers. With Allison's guidance I was able to put together a couple amazing bouquets to save the day!
