I recently bought a young tree from Charles Ellis plants in Stanton near Worcester, it was over £30. It arrived looking healthy and we planted it in fresh compost with a small amount of water. The "Lady of the Night" is sensitive to overwatering, we placed it in our conservatory which is around 15c. Within a few short weeks the tree started losing leaves, I contacted Ellis for some advice , I received a short reply saying to give it more water even though the compost was wet. We added a little more, within a further 2 weeks the tree was dead. I sent photos to Ellis at each stage and then he suggested we cut the tree to its base and wait to see if it grew !!!!
I just want to urge people to think twice before purchasing anything from this establishment. It's not that there was something wrong with the plant it was his attitude and lack of after sales service.
